Back to the Future --
In 2007, forty years after the Summer of Love, three young people fresh out of college move to San Francisco to find the Spirit of the Sixties. They arrive armed only with a video camera and no money. Settling into their new city, they set out on a year-long quest, sly searching for remnants of the heralded past, while also looking for the voices of the future. At a time when the youth of this country has grown increasingly cynical and complacent, these young filmmakers try to rediscover the sense of activism and transformation that dominated the Sixties. On this journey, they meet characters from the Peace and Love generation who take them for a ride up and down the emotional roller coaster of the anti-establishment, anti-war and civil rights movements, opening their eyes to the inescapable parallels of today's wars and social struggles. 'Where Have All the Flowers Gone?' explores the past through the eyes of Generation Y. With the upcoming election approaching, the film raises the question of whether young people really can come together to change the world? Are the Sixties gone forever or were they just forty years in the making?Join the filmmakers for a Q&A after the film Please note: Online ticket sales end 24 hours before each event.
