Life can deal us some strange hands. On a small Croation Island, four friends play a classical card game, Tressette, almost every evening. When one of them dies, the remaining three desperately try to find a fourth for the game. They recruit various people; the local priest, the village loon, a man from Zagreb who came to the island to buy a summer house, the local policeman. In their continuing search for another player, the friends learn much about their fellow islanders, and along with the card players' dilemma, Director Drazen Zarkovic tells a story of a community living on an island that is being forgotten and their fight against extinction. Even with an old game like Tressette, don't you still have to know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em? Please note: Online ticket sales end 24 hours before each event.
